To commemorate the opening of SKIMS’ New York City flagship on Fifth Avenue, I teamed up with WØRKS to design a physical invitation that translates the store’s architecture into a tactile storytelling object. The flagship, designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, served as the core inspiration and dialogue for the invite. The outer envelope opens with a pull tab that reveals a cutout of the store’s signature arched windows and framing a sculptural blind emboss of the interior’s focal artwork—bridging the facade and interior in a single gesture. From inside the cutout slides the invitation card featuring the sculpture on the front. The reverse side features the event details, typeset and printed in foil-stamped bronze. In addition to the physical mailer, we created two digital invitations: one for the flagship opening and another for the private dinner celebration that followed.
